Dog Tag PillBox

For over 100 years military dog tags have been carrying critical information about the wearer... now they can carry even more with the Tag Pillbox! Worn around your neck or added to your keychain in your pocket it is easy to carry, convenient, and discrete.

This Dogtag Locket pill fob comes pre-made with your 2 customized dogtags, acrylic case, hollow brass rivet, and your choice of a ball neckchain or keychain.

Ideal for putting your emergency medical information and instructions on the dogtags, and your pills and medication inside! Both of the tags can be embossed with whatever information you want. It might be about the contents inside the pillbox, your emergency contact information, a memorable event, or the information from your military service.

How it works

We designed a plastic case insert that is the the exact shape and size of a standard US Military dog tag. The case has hollowed recess in the middle which is where your stuff will go.

• We custom laser cut it in our shop out of clear acrylic plastic.
• We take the set of dog tags that you customize and place them on either side of the acrylic case.
• The bottom tag is glued in place.
• A hollow brass rivet is set to hold the top tag firmly with enough friction to the case while allowing you to slide-rotate it to the side to reveal the contents.
• Once you have added or taken out the items you need simply slide the top tag back over the plexiglass case to close it.
• We use a hollow rivet to allow a standard ball chain long or short necklace to go through the rivet so you can wear it like a regular dog tag, that is a dog tag with a secret inside.

Is the Dog Tag Pillbox water proof?

No, it is not. There is no seal between the dog tags and the acrylic case. However the contact between the tags and the case are tight enough to keep dust out and small amounts of water. No one wants dusty medicine.

Can I use any style of dog tags to make the Dog Tag Pillbox?

You can use any standard size, single hole, military dog tag style from our shop. Tags that are larger, smaller, have multiple holes or slots, or are a different shape will not work with the custom cut plexiglass case. For best durability we recommend using standard stainless steel US Military dog tags in either matte, semi-gloss, or shiny finish.
